SONS OF CUBA
The Havana Boxing Academy is a boarding school that takes 9 year old boys and turns them in to the best boxers in the world. Sons of Cuba follows the stories of three young hopefuls through 8 dramatic months as they prepare for the biggest event of their lives: Cuba’s National Boxing Champions for Under-12s.
But during the season crisis strikes: Fidel Castro falls ill, and Cuba’s Olympic medalists defect to the USA. As the championship draws closer, the Cuba that the boys have been taught to believe in is at an historic crossroads.
